Why are you installing fiber on the transmission line?
Dominion Energy uses communication fiber on transmission lines to improve internal communications between substations and provide the necessary resiliency and security to operate and monitor the bulk power system. Transmission fiber in Virginia is for our internal uses only; it is not leased out to third parties.
