Dominion Energy is planning to rebuild an existing electric transmission line between our Harrisonburg Substation in the City of Harrisonburg, VA to our Dooms Substation in Augusta County, VA. Approximately 22 miles of 230 kV transmission line between these substations is nearing the end of its service life and needs to be replaced with new structures that meet current safety and industry standards.
This schedule is subject to change based on weather, permitting, etc.
Your electric service is not expected to be impacted by this project.
The equipment has been in service for more than 5 decades and needs to be replaced.
