We plan to build a new substation in central Albemarle County, Virginia. This new infrastructure will maintain electric reliability, comply with federal standards, and support local economic growth. Walnut Creek Substation will be located near the intersection of Old Lynchburg Road and Red Hill Road, collocated with the existing electric transmission right of way.
Your electric service is not expected to be impacted by this project.
There may be some traffic delays.
Noise levels will be moderate; permits are in place.
This project may have limited environmental impacts.
Access to surrounding neighborhoods will not be impacted.
