The Virginia State Corporation Commission (SCC) is responsible for verifying the need, determining the route, and reviewing the environmental impact of certain transmission lines in Virginia. Dominion Energy plans to file an application with the SCC for this project. After filing, documents related to the case will be available to the public on the SCC website. Key filing documents will also be available on this page.

On 3/7/25, Dominion Energy filed its application with the SCC. Documents related to the case are available to the public on the SCC Docket of the SCC website or search by Case No. PUR-2025-00042 in the " Search Cases " section.

In addition, interested parties may visit the SCC Case Comments Page where individual mailboxes are available for each case accepting public comments. Please note, the mailbox may not be available until a scheduling order is issued, typically several weeks after an application is filed.

May 2, 2025– Landowner Notice, Publication Deadline, and Government Official Notice (to include Attorneys)
May 23, 2025– Proof of Notice and Certificate of Mailing deadline
June 9, 2025– Notice of Participation deadline
July 9, 2025– Respondent Testimony due
August 4, 2025– Staff Report due
August 18, 2025– Company Rebuttal Testimony due
September 9, 2025- Public witness signup deadline
September 9, 2025- Any interested person may submit comments on the Application (on or before)
September 16, 2025- Telephonic Hearing for Public Witness Testimony (10:00 A.M)
September 16, 2025– at 10:00 A.M. (In-Person) Public Evidentiary Hearing
