Strategic Underground Program

To protect the most outage-prone lines in our Virginia service area, we are moving certain overhead electric distribution lines and equipment underground.

Rural Broadband

Dominion Energy Virginia has developed a program to help local Internet Service Providers (ISPs) reach rural locations across the Commonwealth that currently lack high-speed broadband access.

Coal Ash

As we now transition to cleaner energy sources of the future we will continue to be responsible for managing coal ash to ensure the communities we call home are safe and environmentally sound.

Unmanned Aerial Inspections

We use vendors that have completed the required FAA authorizations to inspect transmission lines and towers with Unmanned Aerial Vehicles, commonly known as drones.
