Engagement & Inclusion Councils (E&I Councils) assist senior leadership in addressing the complexities and challenges unique to each business segments. Each E&I Council shares a common mission, aligned with our company’s DE&I efforts, to ensure consistency across One Dominion Energy.

We've hosted the Careers in Energy Diversity Student Conference since 2019. It helps diverse students nationwide learn about the energy industry and explore careers at Dominion Energy. After the conference, the students have the opportunity to compete for summer internships. We also established the Dominion Energy Educational Equity Scholarship Program.
We seek to match our talent needs with the skills of individuals with neurocognitive conditions who live in our communities. Working with the Rehabilitation Research and Training Center at Virginia Commonwealth University, we seek to identify qualified employees and help them succeed in the workplace.
One in five of our new hires is a veteran. In 2011, we launched Troops to Energy Jobs to provide training and support to veterans transitioning from the military to civilian life. Today, more than 50 companies participate in the program.
